StriperCup 2017

We would like to invite your team to participate in the 2017 Striper Cup.

Since its inception in 2006, the Striper Cup has become the East Coast’s premier fishing tournament. With over 50 teams and 3,000 individuals competing last year, the camaraderie and competition among participants was the best yet, and 2017 is looking to be even better still.

Partnering with fishing groups like yours strengthens the sport here in the Northeast. There are some great fishing clubs and teams in the Northeast, and many put on great tournaments. The Striper Cup has helped connect these groups together to fish in friendly competition and build the spirit of the fishing community.

The team competition is based on the total weight of the five largest fish caught during the tournament. Each angler can only contribute one fish to the team’s total.

Fish that will not be your club’s largest fish for the month can be released for prizes in the Striper Cup’s expanded catch-and-release division or weighed for weekly prizes.

The club that wins the Striper Cup gets to proudly display “The Cup” in their clubhouse and at club meetings or pass it around among the members for one year. The winning club presents The Cup to the team that wins the following year.

More information on the tournament and the complete listing of 2017 rules and weigh stations can be found at StriperCup.com. Send questions to stripercup@onthewater.com.
