Wait – what? Kayaks counts as boats and boats count as shore now? So not 1 shore fish was submitted?? The competition is becoming laughable at this point. Diorio is on the leaderboard for kayaks which is a conflict of interest and blurs his photos from the southwest ledge on his socials like it’s some magical secret place. Each week half the pictures are blurry or out of focus and I know a dozen other guys submitting bigger fish and better photos in all categories. Is there any solid explanation about how this works? Is it totally random, is there a method? How do blurry photos that I would be embarrassed to send my mother in a text message win a $500 Shimano reel in a multi-state tournament??
    Absolutely boggled.

Not including Youth entries, 85 shore fish were submitted this week.
Kayak and Boat entries have always fallen under Boat.
Blurry photos will not win in the Costa photo contest. Photos are picked by the quality of photo, handling of the fish, and are judged by committee.
Winners of weekly prizes are selected by a weighted random drawing. What this means is that the more inches of fish you enter in a given week, the more chances you have of winning. ie. a 10-inch fish has 10 chances to win. Short fish count, and since the drawing is random, they still provide a chance of winning a weekly prize.
