Big Bass and Hot Bites Highlight Week 15

Week 15 brought big bass and hazy—but productive—days on the water. The biggest striper of the week stretched an impressive 45 inches, and the bite was hot, with many anglers submitting 3-fish limits from a single outing! Shore and boat anglers alike found success, with fish feeding aggressively during moving tides and early morning hours.

Striped Bass Forecast – Week 16

Looking ahead, expect the strong bite to continue into mid-August. Baitfish schools remain thick inshore, drawing in quality stripers during dawn and dusk tides. On the Cape and Islands, topwater plugs and live eels are producing, while Long Island Sound anglers are finding fish under bunker schools. In Rhode Island, stripers are pushing into the surf during evening tides, and deeper channels are holding fish for those jigging bucktails or soft plastics.
